“Before Criticizing , one ought to walk a mile in his moccasins”. This quote reverberated in my conscious mind.
My son was back from university and was telling tales of his wondrous achievements in the field of Cricket, how wonderfully he batted for his team. The most crucial part was the way he got out. He was so awfully tired to go back to the crease after hitting a shot, and was stumped out. The whole team stumbled after him.
It got me thinking seriously. The media, fans, frenzied reactions on a slight miss by their icons. Media gets down to its act just to get cheap publicity, but the damage it does in doing so in the minds of people is un- reparable.
Once one gets to be in the limelight, utmost care ought to be taken in speaking to the media, as they are very efficient in drawing out the sensational meaning out of the spoken & unspoken words. Many times riots too ensue due to their courtesy.
